DIY Halloween Yarn Spider 🕷️

Materials Needed:

  • Black yarn

  • Scissors

  • Craft glue or hot glue gun

  • 2 googly eyes (or small white paper circles for eyes)

  • Black pipe cleaners (4 for each spider)

Instructions:

1. Make the Spider Body

  • Wrap black yarn around four of your fingers about 50–60 times, depending on how large and fluffy you want the spider to be.

  • Carefully slide the yarn off your fingers, keeping it in a loop, and tie another small piece of yarn tightly around the middle of the loop to secure it.

  • Cut through each looped end of the yarn to create a pom-pom effect. Trim any uneven pieces to shape your spider's body.

2. Add the Legs

  • Cut four black pipe cleaners in half to create eight legs.

  • Twist each pipe cleaner around the yarn body to secure it in place. Position the legs on each side so they resemble a spider’s legs, then bend the ends for a creepy crawly look.

3. Add the Eyes

  • Glue two googly eyes (or white paper circles) to the front of the yarn body for the eyes. Position them close together for a cute, spooky look!

4. Let it Dry and Let the fun begin.

  • Allow the glue to dry completely before handling.

Banana Mummies

All you'll need for this recipe is as many peeled bananas as you need, 2 candy eyes per banana, chocolate and marshmallows. Begin by freezing your peeled bananas on skewers in the freezer until they get firm. Melt your chocolate and dip each banana into the chocolate and place the two candy eyes. Freeze for about 10 minutes. After you have microwaved and melted your marshmallows, let cool slightly. Stretch the marshmallow over the bananas to create a “mummy” wrap, place on a parchment-lined plate, and freeze.
